Cracked Planter (Basic Specs for Quote)

The cracked planter is an excellent example of the importance of understanding a materials natural properties when designing. Intended to be three parts, slip-cast ceramic, it was soon learned that ceramic cast into a long thin form will shrink unevenly, and cause fit problems. While never produced, this concept was a quick lesson in how production, material, and design must work together to achieve the final object.
